“Substantial deepening comes with age…”
Erwin Beijersbergen is a jazz guitarist, born in 1965 in Rotterdam. His first contact with jazz was around the age of 17. Especially the musical encounter with Bill Evans was a divine experience for him. His love for jazz only grew, partly due to the guitar lessons of Joe Pass and Jim Hall.
Other guitarist influences: Barney Kessel, Django Reinhardt, Jimi Hendrix and Wes Montgomery.
In 1994 he graduated from the Rotterdam Conservatory, as a guitarist and teacher in light music.
“I let myself be carried away to the essence: I am the guitar and I become the music.”
