Singer Sarah Luïz was born in The Hague in 1963. She grew up surrounded by painters and musicians. Luïz is married to jazz artist Erwin Beijersbergen. This musical duo lives for love and jazz. She draws particular inspiration from the jazz of the 1950s, 60s, and 70s—music performed by free and sometimes hazy souls; spirits that were free, yet trapped within a cocoon of the injustices of that era. Luïz has immortalized a number of her idols in knitwork, including Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Chet Baker, and Bill Evans. Their capacity for improvisation—or, in other words, freedom—remains an enduring source of inspiration for her.

Erwin Beijersbergen is a jazz guitarist born in Rotterdam in 1965. He first encountered jazz around the age of 17; his musical discovery of Bill Evans, in particular, was a transcendent experience for him. His love for jazz continued to grow, fueled in part by guitar lessons from Joe Pass and Jim Hall.
Other guitar influences include Barney Kessel, Django Reinhardt, Jimi Hendrix, and Wes Montgomery.
In 1994, he graduated from the Rotterdam Conservatory as a guitarist and teacher specializing in contemporary popular music styles.

Ate Kleijn is a drummer whose playing is characterized by attentive listening. On stage, he approaches every performance like a conversation: he responds to the soloists and pays as much attention to the silences between the notes as to the notes themselves.

Marwin Kirchofs was born in Düsseldorf in 1992. He is a German bass guitarist based in Delft. At the age of 13, while playing the saxophone, he was introduced to jazz and fusion music through Michael Brecker and the WDR Big Band. At nineteen, Marwin switched to the bass guitar, inspired by personal heroes such as Stefan Rademacher, Richard Bona, and Marcus Miller.
